Letter: Savannah ‘Savvy’ Wolfson is the common sense choice
Savannah “Savvy” Wolfson is the only candidate that makes common sense for Colorado House District 26. She understands that cutting regulations and limiting taxes is the best way to grow our Colorado economy and help bring down prices. She supports the Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights. As someone who has lived in four different states, I believe this is the best state law in the country. Coming from New Jersey, I can tell you our income taxes would be double and real estate taxes would be at least four times more if Democrats were given free rein to raise our taxes without our vote.
Savvy understands basic economics and basic common sense. Colorado was thriving. Then Democrats took control and started passing regulation after regulation trying to “manage” our economy. Economies thrive because of the productive people of the state or country. If government could grow an economy, then why doesn’t every third world country just print more money and see their economy grow? It’s because governments only take from productive society and redistribute it. That’s not growth. Governments can’t lower prices or create jobs by mandate. They can only create shortages and put people out of work. A good government knows when to just protect freedom to improve the economy and society.
Savvy understands what it takes to manage a family budget in these recessionary times. She takes the time to go out and understand the struggles of our local business owners, ranchers, workers, etc. Her opponent only knows the same tired Democrats’ talking points: abortion, Trump and Jan. 6. Her opponent’s policies lack common sense, financial acumen and a basic knowledge of human nature. No, trying to have government create more child care is not going to help the economy. Get government out of the way, and businesses will thrive and solve lack of child care themselves.
Finally, government mandates on climate by shutting down productive companies and jobs without a rational plan will only create poverty and economic regression. Economic regression has never solved anything. Savvy understands the American people are the most productive in the world. She gets my vote, and hopefully yours.
