YVEA board nominations due April 25

The Yampa Valley Electric Association nonprofit, member-owned electric cooperative has opened the spring 2026 board of directors nomination period, and nomination packets for the three open seats are due by April 25.
Districts up for election include District 2 in the Maybell and surrounding area with the seat currently held by Ray DuBois and District 3 for the city of Craig held by Sasha Nelson. Board Chairman Tom Fox, who holds District 6 for the Clark area, confirmed he is running for his sixth term.

A nomination for director, a three-year term, can only be submitted by a written petition and must be signed by at least 15 members/customers of YVEA.
Ballots will be mailed and e-mailed by May 22 and must be received no later than June 18.
The member-owned co-operative’s annual meeting is scheduled to start with registration at 3 p.m. and the meeting at 3:30 p.m. on June 24 at 2211 Elk River Road in Steamboat Springs. For more annual meeting information, visit YVEA.com/about-us/annual-meeting.
