The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club will be screening Warren Miller’s 76th film, “SNO-CIETY,” from Nov. 13-15 at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, according to a Tuesday news release.
The movie highlights winter adventures from the Scottish Highlands to British Columbia and Denver, featuring Olympians, urban riders and local athletes. It also includes a short segment from Steamboat Ski Resort’s 43rd annual Cardboard Classic.
Screenings of the film are set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13; 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14; and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15. Concessions will be available at all shows, with beer and seltzer served on Friday and Saturday.
Hosted by SSWSC and sponsored by Town Hall, Steamboat Powdercats, Christy Sports and Hard Headed, the event serves as a fundraiser for the club’s youth athletes. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door, though evening shows often sell out.
