The Crosho Fire in South Routt County was 22% contained Wednesday morning, according to a news release from the U.S. Forest Service.

The fire continues to threaten 67 structures in South Routt. No structures have been damaged or destroyed.

Over 350 firefighting personnel were on the scene Wednesday morning, including two engines, four water tenders, three aircraft, three dozers and 11 hand crews.

Hot, dry weather is expected to continue through the week until potential weekend showers arrive, according to the news release.

“Containment is increasing thanks to the hard work of firefighters cold trailing, mopping up, and strengthening lines around the fire’s perimeter,” states the release. “Progress remains steady despite hot and dry weather, rugged terrain and overhead hazards.”
