Steamboat Springs High School senior Izzy Hamric named Rotary Club’s October Student of the Month

Steamboat Springs High School senior Isabella “Izzy” Hamric has been named the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for October, according to a statement released Wednesday.
Hamric, the senior class president, was recognized for her leadership, school involvement and dedication to community service that reflect the Rotary Club’s motto of “Service Above Self.”
“Izzy is the sparkplug of student life,” said her school counselor, Cheryl Fullerton, in the statement. “She approaches every challenge with impressive determination and balance, and she is truly a ring leader for good.”
Hamric, known for her positivity and competitive spirit, also captains the girls’ flag football team, competes in lacrosse, and enjoys snowboarding. Peers and staff alike credit her with helping build connection and inclusion throughout the school community.
