Women United hosts free budgeting, home buying classes
The Women United arm at nonprofit United Way of the Yampa Valley will offer its next free “Budgeting” financial literacy class series starting Oct. 9 to empower individuals and families with knowledge and skills needed to achieve financial stability.
Taught by experienced instructors Susan White and Jessica Koppe, the free classes provide essential education on budgeting, saving, debt management and credit building to help community members make informed financial decisions.
The three-class series is open to any community members and are set for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 9 and 23 and Nov. 6 at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs. A free dinner is available before class at 5:15 p.m. at CMC Dining Hall.
Another upcoming financial literacy free class series will be Home Buying 101 taught by instructor Kathryn Pedersen for participants to learn how to prepare, work through the process and finalize buying a home. Home Buying 101 will run 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 and Nov. 5 and 12 at CMC.
