Warm workweek in Steamboat Springs to end with wet, cold weather

Steamboat Springs saw sunny skies Sunday afternoon, with temperatures slightly warmer than usual, according to local meteorologist Mike Weissbluth’s twice-weekly forecast

The start of the workweek will bring even warmer weather as highs climb into the mid-to-upper 50s, Weissbluth wrote.

Afternoon breezes are expected on Tuesday, with a mild, dry pattern expected to continue through Thursday, according to Weissbluth, who added that a shift to wetter, colder weather is likely by Friday as a new storm system approaches from the West Coast.

Weissbluth will hold an informative session on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bud Werner Memorial Library for community members interested in learning more about his forecasting process.
