STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The option to add on First Tracks to season passes for the 2018-19 ski season at Steamboat Ski Area do not go on sale until June 1.

First Tracks allows skiers to load the gondola from 8 to 8:15 a.m. The gondola then opens for general boarding at 8:30 a.m.

The cost to add on First Tracks will be $449. A limited number of First Tracks add-ons will be available, and the product has historically sold out.

The owner of Steamboat Ski Area, Alterra Mountain Co., began selling its new Ikon Pass for the 2018-19 season on Tuesday.

The $899 Ikon Pass will offer unlimited skiing to Steamboat Ski Area and access to 24 other resort destinations.

Skiers do not have to wait to pay additional money to add night skiing onto next season’s pass. That is available for $49.
