Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. has named two veteran instructors, Dina Castor and Jim Hillmuth, to lead its SnowSports programs, according to a statement released Monday.

Castor was promoted to SnowSports director of people and products, and Hillmuth was named SnowSports director of operations, both effective Oct. 18. Both have spent more than 20 years with the resort’s SnowSports School, including the past eight in management.

“This promotion within the SnowSports school is a reflection of the leadership, vision and investment in the future,” said Nelson Wingard, Ski Corp. vice president of SnowSports, in the statement. “Jim and Dina embody everything that is great about Steamboat, and they each bring a dedicated skill set and industry knowledge that aligns with our culture and goals.”

In her new role, Castor will oversee staffing, scheduling and program development, including Mountain Camp operations. Hillmuth will manage daily operations, special programs, and facility and grooming oversight. The two will work together on strategic planning for guest and employee programming.

“Our team is driven to give our employees and guests the best experience possible. While we take that role very seriously, we enjoy working together,” said Castor in the statement. “This next chapter will be fun and challenging, and I look forward to leading our SnowSports community.”

“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to take on a greater leadership role at Steamboat,” said Hillmuth. “I look forward to following through with our vision and fostering a strong culture among the team.”
