Steamboat Ski Patrol to hold fundraiser Nov. 29
The Steamboat Professional Ski Patrol Union is holding a fundraiser at 8 p.m., Nov. 29 at Old Town Pub and Restaurant.
Titled “The First Chair Fundraiser,” the event aims to help patrollers in unexpected times of need, such as injury, hardship or emergency.
The event will feature the local bluegrass band The Flattops and a silent auction.
Eventually, the ski patrol union hopes to also the funding will help provide scholarships for training opportunities for its members, according to Patrol Fundraising Coordinator Amanda Kornutiak.
“Come out and enjoy a nice evening with The Flattops, and help the local patrol,” said Kornutiak. “It’s a great way to start off the season and give back to the people who keep you safe.”
