Steamboat meteorologist presents ‘Weather Forecasting 101’ on Nov. 18

The educational presentation “Weather Forecasting 101” presented by Steamboat Springs meteorologist Mike Weissbluth is scheduled for 6:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Bud Werner Memorial Library.
Weissbluth writes a regional, twice-weekly weather narrative that educates and informs through his website SnowAlarm.com. Audience members can learn how Weissbluth creates his forecasts including analysis of observations, satellite and radar images, and weather models.
The weather forecaster earned graduate degrees in atmospheric science from Colorado State University. The avid skier and mountain biker developed SnowAlarm.com starting in 2000.
