Soroco Middle School principal named Principal of the Year

Soroco Middle School’s principal, Dave Grabowski, has been named the 2025 Middle School Principal of the Year by the Colorado Association of School Executives. He was nominated by fellow staff members.
In two of the three years that Grabowski has been the high school and middle school principal at Soroco, the school district has been recognized as a Colorado District of Distinction.
According to a news release, the Colorado Department of Education assigns the “Accredited with Distinction” designation to the highest-performing school districts in the state. These school districts meet or exceed the expectations on most performance tasks.
Soroco Middle School was also named a Colorado Trailblazer, Middle School to Watch under Grabowski’s leadership.
