Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. has promoted Kathy Hastings to vice president of food and beverage, according to a Friday news release.

Hastings has over 20 years of food and beverage leadership in destination hotels and resort environments, the release adds.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kathy to this role,” said Dave Hunter, president and chief operating officer for Ski Corp., in a statement. “Her proven leadership and breadth of destination hospitality experience will continue to elevate our culinary offerings and guest experience.”

As a member of the company’s senior leadership team, Hastings will oversee the strategy and operations for the resort’s full dining portfolio, including on-mountain restaurants, base area outlets and warehouse functions.

Before joining Ski Corp. as the director of food and beverage for the base area and hotel operations in 2019, Hastings held director roles with Hyatt properties and served as the director of food and beverage for the JW Mariott in Denver.

In 2023, Hastings became the general manager of the Steamboat Grand, where she led teams across operations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, concierge, food and beverage and conference services. She also served as a liaison for the Grand Homeowners Association, guiding the hotel and association through a renovation and pipe replacement project that closed the hotel for eight months last year.

“Dining experiences are often what guests remember most vividly about their experience,” said Hastings in a statement. “The celebrations, family meals and the atmosphere turn their trip into a lasting memory. By leading with innovation and consistency, our dining options at Steamboat will keep guests returning year after year.”

Hastings will begin her role on Saturday and will report directly to Hunter.
