The Crosho Fire covered 2,200 acres as of Saturday morning, according to an update from the Wyoming Type 3 Team managing the fire suppression effort.

The fire is zero percent contained and is threatening 240 structures in the area.

Saturday’s update noted “favorable weather” has moderated the fire’s activity, “allowing crews on the southern perimeter to begin securing sections of line.”

“Fire managers are reassigning some resources to more active areas of the fire to the north. Firefighters on the northern perimeter are working to safely engage the fire as conditions allow,” according to the update.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation as of Friday, according to U.S. Forest Service Public Affairs Specialist Aaron Voos. More details will be provided as they become available.

There are 284 personnel working the fire along with five dozers, five water tenders, four aircraft and nine engines.

A temporary flight restriction remains in place over the fire area.

Zones 2, 3 and 4 have been evacuated. Zones 5,7,8 and 9 are under pre-evacuation status.
