Elevation Dance Studio will take the stage Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the organization’s 14th annual Spring Recital at Steamboat Springs High School.

The Spring Recital will feature more than 200 dancers performing under the theme “Dance Through Time,” as the studio and its students embrace a variety of different styles of dance from the 1920s to current times.

The Spring Recital will feature two distinct performances. Running about one hour each, the shows at 6 p.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. Saturday will feature some of the troupe’s younger dancers as they showcase the skills they have learned over the last nine months of classes. The hourlong shows will feature about 18 numbers including tap, ballet, jazz and contemporary dance styles.

Then at 6 p.m. Friday and again at 6 p.m. Saturday, Elevation Dance will showcase the studio’s full production capabilities, with its older students taking the stage and each show running about two hours with roughly twice as many numbers as the hourlong show and a brief intermission.

Owner and Artistic Director Renee Fleischer said Elevation Dance goes all-out for its Spring Recital, as the studio works to create a full-production experience for the audience and has quite the talented bunch of “little professionals” to pull it all off.

“It’s a super fun celebration of dance through time,” Fleischer said of the Spring Recital.

Tickets were still available at ElevationDanceStudio.com/events on Wednesday. If the shows do not sell out, tickets could also be available at the door outside the high school gymnasium the day of the show.
