News of potential sale of Mahogany Ridge Brewery & Grill surfaces on social media
News of a potential sale of Mahogany Ridge Brewery & Grill emerged on social media over the weekend, earning a number of reactions from many locals who have enjoyed the food and handcrafted beers for years.
A Saturday night post on the Facebook group “Routt County Chat, Rant, n Rave” mentioned a potential sale of the longstanding local business in downtown Steamboat Springs. On Monday, details were limited as co-owner Charlie Noble remained tight-lipped about any impending sale of the business at 435 Lincoln Ave.
“We don’t have any comment until the sale goes through,” Noble stated in a text message.
Mahogany got its start more than two decades ago after the Steamboat Brewery and Tavern closed its doors in October 2002.
The establishment was reopened by Paul Underwood and partner Seth Cheikin in March 2003, according to Steamboat Pilot & Today archives.
Noble, who had been the brew master at Steamboat Brewery and Tavern, was brought in to fill that position at Mahogany before he stepped into the role as owner at Mahogany Ridge.
