Interstate 70 near Silverthorne will see westbound lane closures on weekdays over the next two weeks for a maintenance project.
The repairs will resurface about a mile-long stretch of I-70 between mile markers 207 and 206, according to a news release from the Colorado Department of Transportation. Work will occur Monday through Thursday, Oct. 6-9 and Oct. 13-16, from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. No work is planned Friday through Sunday.
During working hours, two lanes of traffic will be closed with only one lane open, the release states. Drivers should plan for extra time to reach their destination and should heed the speed limit, leave plenty of space between themselves and other vehicles and watch for crews and equipment in the work zone.
The project’s schedule could change depending on the weather.
