Ten-year-old Hurley Booco has been named Hayden Public Library’s seventh Reader of the Week for this year’s Summer Reading Program.
A lifelong Hayden resident entering fifth grade, Hurley enjoys riding her horse, JD, practicing for the rodeo and spending time at the lake. In addition to her horse, she has an impressive number of pets, including 25 chickens, a pony and a cat. Hurley also likes playing volleyball and reading horse books, especially the “Magic Ponies” series by Sue Bentley, and wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
This summer, Hurley visited family in Colorado Springs and attended the Open Range Bible Camp in Meeker.
Her advice to fellow readers is that reading “can be knowledgeable.”
