Friends of the Yampa will host its annual Big Snow Bash fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 7-11 p.m. at Old Town Pub in Steamboat Springs, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The event will feature live music by the Colorado folk band A Brother’s Fountain, door prizes and an online auction, all supporting efforts to protect and enhance the Yampa River.

The first 50 attendees will receive a complimentary Storm Peak Brewing beer token.

“Big Snow Bash…is an event we depend on to fund much of the work we do,” said Friends of the Yampa Executive Director Lindsey Marlow in the statement. “I hope to see this event sell out every year to indicate how much the Yampa River’s health and protection is important to our community.”

Tickets are $35 for Friends of the Yampa members and $40 for non-members. Members can purchase up to two discounted tickets and receive an automatic door prize entry.

The online auction will begin at noon this Sunday, Oct. 5 and end at noon on Sunday, Oct. 12, with prizes including rafting trips, outdoor gear, guided fishing trips and local goods. All proceeds from the Big Snow Bash and the online auction will benefit river restoration, monitoring and public outreach.
