Free wildfire fuels drop-off Friday in Clark

Area residents can take advantage of a free drop-off and chipping day for wildfire hazardous fuels at 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday at North Routt Fire Station 1, 54545 County Road 129, in Clark.

Residents can drop off wildfire hazardous materials from their property such as leaves, small trees, tree branches, small diameter logs and brush.

The free drop-off event is sponsored by nonprofit Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council and North Routt Fire Protection District.



Materials that will not be accepted include logs or branches with a diameter greater than 6 inches; roots, root wads, stumps or anything that grows below the soil; materials that contain dirt, sand, gravel or rocks; construction, building or other manmade materials; lumber, fence posts or signs; or materials that contain any string or metal such as nails or screws.
