Routt County property owners are being urged to sign up for paperless property tax statements, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

Routt County Treasurer & Public Trustee Lane Iacovetto is promoting the county’s Electronic Tax Notice Program, a free service that allows residents to receive tax notices and pay bills securely online instead of by mail.

Around 28,000 paper statements are sent out annually to property owners. Those who enroll in the electronic program will have quicker access to their 2025 tax notices, which are due to be delivered by late Jan. 2026. Enrolled participants will also be able to view statements and pay taxes online at their convenience.

“Switching to electronic tax notices is a simple way to save time, protect personal information, and support an environmentally friendly Routt County,” said Iacovetto in the statement.

Property owners interested in going paperless can sign up by filling out an enrollment form at tinyurl.com/4xrksbhh.

Those who do not receive their tax notice by Feb. 15, 2026 or seeking further information on the program should contact the Treasurer’s Office at 970-870-5555 or treasurer@co.routt.co.us.
