Climate Action Plan update, open house set for Wednesday
Discussion to cover recommendations for reducing local carbon emissions

The Routt County Climate Action Plan Collaborative will host a public open house and plan update from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bud Werner Memorial Library in Steamboat Springs.
Attendees can learn about what local governments and partners are doing to fight climate change. Collaborative members will provide updates on progress made implementing the plan’s 40 recommended actions to help lower carbon emissions in Routt County.
Since the 2021 adoption of the Climate Action Plan, regional governments and some 70 community leaders have been working collaboratively to partner on implementation. The event also will feature highlights from the four inaugural CAP Fund recipients and their projects.
The event will take place in Library Hall. Free beverages and light snacks will be served. Child care and Spanish language interpretation will be available with advance registration at RouttClimateAction.com.
