Bud Werner Library to host ‘Eager’ book discussion
As part of this year’s One Book Steamboat community read, Bud Werner Library is hosting a book discussion of “Eager” by Ben Goldfarb at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Eager Beaver Lodge in Library Hall.
The conversation will focus on the importance of beavers, analyze the fur trade in North America, and consider the consequences of losing beavers to hunting.
“Eager” won the 2019 PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award and is a powerful story about the influence beavers have on North American landscapes. The book educates readers on conservation and how to coexist with the environment.
Everyone interested in participating is encouraged to attend.
