The Meeker Mustang Makeover will return for a new two-day extended celebration Aug. 22-23.
Set in the White River Valley, the event celebrates America’s wild mustangs, featuring skilled trainers, returning fan favorite events and brand new features.
For the first time, the event welcomes an Adult In-Hand Division, allowing more trainers to showcase the gentling process of their mustangs through groundwork and connection. Spectators will witness how trust, time and training transforms these once-wild horses into willing partners.
Also new this year is the Mustang Only Horse Show, taking place Friday morning. Open to any mustang, this event is intended to honor the story behind every mustang.
Applications are still being accepted and participation is free.
Each mustang in the event was once a wild horse in the American West. They are trained and adopted through the Bureau of Land Management adoption program.
