The 42nd Steamboat Springs Annual Writers’ Conference is set to return Oct. 17-18 at the Depot Art Center, bringing authors, publishing professionals and local writers together for two days of workshops and discussions, according to a news release.

Organized by the Steamboat Writers’ Group, the conference aims to draw more than 130 participants from across Northwest Colorado. The event begins Friday evening, Oct. 17, and continues with a full day of sessions on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Two instructors will lead sessions on topics designed to support and inspire writers. Additionally, attendees who come prepared to read are given 10 minutes to read aloud their original work prior to publication, followed by approximately five minutes of feedback from other writers.

Event organizers say the conference provides continuing education for writers while connecting attendees with industry experts and regional peers.

More information about the speakers and schedule will be available in the coming weeks.
