The Yampa River Botanic Park launched its “Meet the Gardener” community education series earlier this month, with sessions running from 10:30-11 a.m. every other Tuesday from May 12 through Sept. 15, according to the most recent city of Steamboat Springs newsletter.

Each session, a member of the park’s horticulture team will lead attendees to a different area of the park and share their expertise, covering a range of topics on plants and gardening for both new and seasoned gardeners.

The next session, scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, will focus on transplanting. Attendees should gather at the main park entrance.

“Meet the Gardener” events are free to the public, with no registration required.
