Letter to the editor: Gratitude from SBT GRVL
As SBT GRVL approaches its seventh in-person event since launching in 2019, we want to take a moment to simply say: Thank you, Steamboat.
From the start, SBT GRVL has always been about community and bringing people together in a place we all love while creating meaningful opportunities to give back. We are deeply grateful to the Steamboat Springs community for continuing to welcome us, support our vision, and help shape what SBT GRVL has become.
Each year, we strive to expand the event’s positive impact beyond race day. From the MTN CLMB and the Expo with the Local Vendor Zone, Business Bingo, SBT TRL, and the downtown finish line, we hope the entire community feels invited to be part of the energy and celebration.
We are especially proud of the growth of our junior and advocacy programming. This year, young riders from around the world will join us through scholarship opportunities designed to make cycling more accessible. We are incredibly thankful to the Steamboat families opening their homes to these athletes.
We are also proud to continue supporting and partnering with organizations like The Cycle Effect and Routt County Riders, whose work strengthens youth opportunity, trail stewardship, and outdoor participation across the Yampa Valley.
We remain committed to listening, learning, and ensuring SBT GRVL continues to be a positive force for Steamboat Springs and all of Routt County.
Thank you for helping make Steamboat such a special place to ride, gather, and call home.
