The Steamboat Springs Police Department will host Coffee with Cops Wednesday, May 13 from 8-10 a.m. at Dusky Grouse Coffee, inviting residents to meet officers in an informal setting, according to a statement released on Thursday.
The program is designed to encourage casual, face-to-face conversations between law enforcement and the public outside of emergency situations. Attendees can ask questions, share concerns or simply get to know local officers over coffee.
Police Chief Mark Beckett and other department leaders, including commanders and patrol officers, are expected to attend. Representatives from the Routt County Sheriff’s Office will also be available.
The event is part of an ongoing outreach effort aimed at strengthening relationships and improving communication between police and the community. No RSVP is required.
