Registration for SBT GRVL will open Oct. 14 for the 2026 race, which will feature four new courses showcasing the region’s iconic “champagne gravel” roads. Registration will run through Oct. 31.
“We’ve taken the best elements of past years and infused them into what we believe will be the best edition of SBT GRVL yet,” said Amy Charity, founding partner and CEO of SBT GRVL, in a statement. “We are thrilled to unveil new routes while returning to the single-day format in downtown Steamboat Springs that has become a hallmark of SBT GRVL.”
Spanning June 26 through 28, the event will also return to its signature one-day ride and race format in downtown Steamboat Springs on June 28. Community expos will be held on Yampa Street on June 26 and 27.
The expanded field will accommodate 2,750 participants, including 2,000 riders and 750 racers.
The new courses include:
- Black Course Race — A new 108-mile single-lap elite and amateur race with a rolling enclosure and safety bubble, starting and finishing on Yampa Street.
- Green Course Ride — 25 miles of approachable, scenic gravel for riders seeking a shorter challenge.
- Red Course Ride — 53 miles of varied terrain, blending accessibility with adventure.
- Blue Course Ride — 73 miles of challenging rural roads, showcasing some of Routt County’s most celebrated gravel.

GRVL Femmes is also returning for the 2026 race, fostering a welcoming and empowering environment for amateur female cyclists.
Teams are comprised of three or more women who can compete in the Team Race category on the 108-mile Black Course, where the three fastest teams earn a cash prize and a champagne podium celebration, or the non-competitive Team Unity Category on the Green, Red or Blue Courses for a chance to win an overall team prize.
GRVL Femmes participants receive early registration benefits, allowing registration as early as Wednesday.
