United States Ski and Snowboard has released its roster of the 28 athletes named to the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team, which includes both moguls ski and aerials.
Both Jaelin Kauf and Olivia Giaccio were named to the Women’s Moguls A Team, while Abby McLarnon was named to the Women’s Moguls B Team. Landon Wendler was named to the Men’s Moguls B Team.
Kauf, Giaccio and Wendler each represented the U.S. at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games. Giaccio was the Overall Crystal Globe winner as the top-ranked World Cup skier last season based on overall points. Kauf took home two silver medals in moguls and dual moguls at the Olympic Games.
Kauf also won a silver medal in Beijing 2022; was a World Champion in dual moguls in 2025 at St. Moritz, Switzerland; was a World Cup Champion in dual moguls, moguls and overall in 2025; and is a seven-time U.S. Champion.
Giaccio, in addition to being the Crystal Globe winner, has four individual World Cup wins; was sixth in dual moguls in Milan-Cortina and moguls in Beijing; and has finished as high as second at the U.S. Championships.
McLarnon took third in dual moguls at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon, South Korea; was third in dual moguls and fourth in dual moguls at the 20225 Junior World Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan; and third in both moguls and dual moguls at the 2025 U.S. Championships in Palisades-Tahoe, California.
Wendler has reached as high as second on the World Cup Circuit, which he did at Nanto-Toyama, Japan this past season. He was 17th and 26th in moguls and dual moguls in Milan-Cortina, respectively; was third in moguls and dual moguls at the 2023 U.S. Championships in Waterville, New Hampshire; and was first in dual moguls on the 2022 NorAm Circuit at Val St. Come, Canada. He snagged first in moguls at Killington, Vermont on the 2020 NorAm Circuit.
“At the Olympics, we took home four of the six available medals in women’s moguls and the gold in the aerials team event,” said U.S. Ski and Snowboard Freestyle Sport Director Matt Gnoza. “This season, our focus is on building on that momentum and continuing to raise the performance level across the entire program. We see a real opportunity for growth on both the men’s moguls and men’s aerials sides, and with new staff and athletes stepping into expanded roles, I’m excited about the depth, energy and potential of this team.”
The moguls season kicks off Dec. 12 in Ruka, Finland. There are two stops stateside, in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire and Deer Valley, Utah.
The World Championships are scheduled for March 6-21 in Montafon, Austria.
