The Steamboat Springs School District Board of Education has announced its four finalist candidates for superintendent and plans to make a selection by April 15, according to a Tuesday news release.

The candidates are Drew Adams of Louisville, Colorado; Kristin Drury of Parker, Colorado; Scott Springston of Dodge City, Kansas; and John O. Stover III of Eden, North Carolina.

The district will host a public forum and meet-and-greet with the finalists on Monday, April 13 at 5 p.m. at Sleeping Giant School (40250 Giant View Drive).

Final interviews are scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, beginning at 8 a.m. at the district office, where stakeholder groups will also have a chance to meet with the candidates and offer feedback to the board.

The interviews will be conducted by three teams each made up of eight people representing a blend of administrators, staff, students, parents and community members. The district accepted applications for volunteer interviewers through the month of March.

Search firm McPherson & Jacobson LLC assisted the district in the search process, screening 13 applicants, conducting background checks and presenting candidates to the board during its March 30 meeting, after which point the board selected four candidates to advance.

The district is also seeking suggested questions for the finalist interviews from staff, parents and community members until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7. To submit a question, visit tinyurl.com/5yvskmxt.
