Public Health offers free sexual health infection testing

Routt County Public Health is partnering with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the imaware health platform to offer free sexually transmitted infection testing to community members.

Testing kits are available free of charge, and private clinic rooms are available for individuals to collect their own samples. Participants receive test kits in discrete packaging and meet one-on-one with a public health nurse for additional details.

The kits include testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV and hepatitis C.  Public health staff will assist in ensuring samples are returned to the lab promptly.

Results will be available within two to five days. If results require follow-up, a participant is contacted by a licensed healthcare professional to discuss next steps. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call 970-870-5356.
