David (Dutch) Schultz completed his journey at home on May 9, 2026. He began his life in Manitowoc, WI, and is survived by a vast circle of friends, as well as his sister Din Grueneberg, and her husband Dave; his brother, Max Schultz, and his wife Gayle; his nephew, Cory Schultz; and his longtime partner, Beverly Friesen. But his family extended far beyond these few people, as many of you know, because David had a special way of making people feel welcome, valued, and loved.

Please remember David and keep his dream alive by cherishing every moment, showing kindness to everyone regardless of age, religion, or political views, and sharing his light. He was truly an extraordinary person who touched so many lives.

To honor David’s memory, donations may be made to the Jan Bishop Cancer Center. The center and its staff provided invaluable care and greatly enhanced the quality of his life. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
