Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA celebrates 15-year anniversary

Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates — celebrated its 15-year anniversary Sept. 9. The organization has helped more than 500 children.
The organization advocates for for children who have found themselves in the judicial process, and separated from parents and guardians.
CASA makes sure that the children’s best interests are served, by helping walk the children through the process with the county court and Routt County Department of Human Services and help find a permanent, safe and stable solution.
Over 400 community members in the county donate to the annual Dancing with the Steamboat Stars event, which has been a constant in the Yampa Valley community over the last 15 years.
