2019 Best of the Boat bike mechanic: Hazen Kreis, Wheels
Wheels Bike Shop owner Hazen Kreis has quickly taking over where the store’s previous owner, Chris Johns (RIP), left off.
While Johns won Best Bike Mechanic accolades in the past, Kreis did so this year for the same great customer service.
“It’s great to be carrying on his tradition,” Kreis says. “He had quite a loyal following.”
With a loyal customer base, the small, independently owned and operated bike shop prides itself on quick turn-around, friendly service and depth of experience.
Specializing in tunes and sales, Wheels is Steamboat’s Norco and Yeti Cycles dealership, while servicing bikes of all walks — including mountain, racing road, freeriding, downhill, townie and more.
It also offers a complete rental and demo line and prides itself on giving back to the community.
