Alison Berg

Alison Berg joined the staff in September 2020 after graduating from Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science. Before helping lead the news team as an editor of her college’s newspaper, The Utah Statesman, Berg covered student government and faculty issues. While at The Statesman, she won several Utah Press Association awards and was a finalist for an investigative reporters and editors award. Prior to joining the Pilot & Today, she completed internships at The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Salt Lake Tribune and the Bay Area News Group, where she covered everything from local politics to the environment.

Originally from the Bay Area of California, Berg enjoys reading, writing and spending time outside.
