Tinneal Gerber named new director of Yampa Valley Regional Airport
Routt County has appointed Tinneal Gerber as new director of Yampa Valley Regional Airport, effective July 6, according to a statement released Wednesday.
Gerber succeeds Kevin Booth, who was praised by county officials for his decade-long service and for mentoring Gerber during her tenure as assistant airport director.
County Commissioner Sonja Macys highlighted Gerber’s “comprehensive understanding of airport operations, financial acumen, experience with capital improvements, and presence as a community leader,” calling her the ideal choice to lead the airport’s next phase of development.
“Tinneal has served with distinction as assistant airport director and business manager at the Yampa Valley Regional Airport for more than eight years,” said Booth. “I couldn’t be happier about her well-deserved promotion to airport director and have full confidence in her ability to continue to improve and lead our airport.”
Gerber brings over 20 years of experience in aviation management, public finance and capital planning to the position. As assistant airport director, Gerber was instrumental in managing daily operations, obtaining significant FAA and CDOT grant funding and moving forward major projects, such as the Terminal Area Plan and General Aviation Development Plan.
“I am honored to accept the position of airport director and am excited to continue the momentum of growth and planned expansion established under the exceptional leadership of my predecessor,” said Gerber. “I am committed to further strengthening the airport’s role as a regional transportation hub and a vital driver of connectivity and economic prosperity for the Yampa Valley.”
