Routt Thrive by Five, a branding and public education effort out of First Impressions of Routt County, is inviting North Routt residents, parents, employers and neighbors to a community meeting on the regional childcare crisis on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at North Routt Community Charter School (26990 Eagle Lane) in Clark, states a Monday news release.
The event is described as an “open invitation” for North Routt community members to learn about the issue, ask questions and help build a long-term, community driven solution.
“Across Routt County, families can’t find or afford care, providers can’t keep teachers, and employers can’t hire the workers they need,” wrote First Impressions staff in the release. “This meeting brings the North Routt community into the effort to build a lasting solution that keeps the county strong.”
The meeting announcement comes amid Routt Thrive by Five’s yearlong voter education effort on the local gap in early childhood funding and services, including most recently Holy Name Preschool suspending its operations due to staffing shortages.
RSVPs are not required and childcare will be available on-site.
