– August 24, 2026

Don Babcock left this earth peacefully to be with the Lord on August 24, 2026.

Don lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to his family, and a love for people. He was a son, brother, husband, father, papa, great-grandpa, and a loyal friend to many. He never met a stranger. That heart for people was evident in everything he did.

Don was happiest outdoors and while spending time with his family. He was an active member of the Clifton Christian Church, United Mine Workers of America, a 4-H leader for many years, and a die-hard Broncos Fan.

Don leaves behind a legacy of hard work, quiet generosity, steady faith, and deep love. He showed us how to serve others without hesitation, how to find joy in a simple drive or a game of cards, and how to love your family with all your heart. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in every story we share, every game we play and every laugh we carry forward.

Don was preceeded in death by his parents Clarence and Laverne, his brother Jim (Decker), and his brother Clarence(Marolyn). He leaves his wife Darlene, son Jody(Erin), daughter Daleena(Jeremy), daughter Lynae (Kevin), seven grandchildren and one great grand-daughter, brother Tim(Laurel), sister Barbara(Jerry), brother Bill, sister Debbie, and brother-in-laws Bill(Debbie) and Don(Leslie), and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 6th from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m at the Midlands Village Community Center, 435 32 Road Clifton Colorado.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope West Hospice in Grand Junction.
