Rival baseball teams have a heated argument at Steamboat condo: The Record for Saturday, July 22, 2017
12:27 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 500 block of Retreat Place. A man was in a running vehicle with a door open for a long period of time, and a caller was concerned about the man. When police arrived, the man was acting strangely. He told police he had left a condominium, gotten tired and fallen asleep in his vehicle. Police gave the man a ride home.
10:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse containing an iPhone taken from from a bar in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.
12:28 a.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. Someone was yelling at someone aggressively about riding his bicycle in the street.
4:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of property stolen from a vehicle in the Central Park Plaza parking lot.
4:35 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of someone who was sick in the first block of Eighth Street.
5:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two rival baseball teams engaged in a heated argument at a condo in the 2300 block of Storm Meadows Drive. Police say adults and children were screaming and yelling at each other, and a coach had to get involved. Police were called back 53 minutes later, because someone involved in the argument was worried about retaliation.
5:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who was acting strangely on the railroad tracks near Howelsen Hill.
10:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man who was staggering and could hardly talk on the Yampa River Core Trail. Officers contacted the man and determined he was OK.
