Sailors soccer is No. 4 in the state, 7-0
The Steamboat Springs High School girls soccer team is 7-0 and No. 4 in the state following a 5-2 win over Battle Mountain on Tuesday, April 5.
The Sailors are also ranked No. 1 in the Western Slope as they are 5-0 against league opponents.
Senior Darby Martinez scored a hat trick, while senior Peyton Rand and junior Taylor Connelly each scored one.
The team travels to play a non-league opponent in Centaurus on Saturday, April 9. Centaurus is ranked No. 3 in the Colorado High School Activities Association RPI and is 4-0.
The Sailors have many league games left, but will face another high-caliber, non-league team in Durango on April 29.
