PHOTOS: Keeping up with Steamboat Olympians in Beijing

If you haven’t lost track of what day it is, you aren’t doing the Olympics right. Steamboat athletes have been representing Ski Town, U.S.A. with pride.

Steamboat Springs Alpine snowboarder Cody Winters and Team USA teammate and former Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club member Robby Burns competed Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Zhangjiakou Genting Snow Park. They didn’t make it past the first round, but they pushed themselves.

Taylor Gold will take part in men’s halfpipe qualifying Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 9:30 p.m. MST, and in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Taylor Fletcher, Jasper Good and the men’s Nordic combined team will compete for the first time at the Zhangjiakou National Ski Jumping Centre.

There are 13 athletes with ties to Steamboat competing at the Winter Games, and they’ve been flooding social media with pictures and videos of their experiences. Keep up with Steamboat-related Olympic coverage at
