Mascots descend on Steamboat Ski Area

Twenty mascots from universities from around the United States will compete in a series of challenges at Steamboat Ski Area this weekend.

Mascots taking part include nearby rivals CAM the Ram, from Colorado State, and Chip from University of Colorado. Other Pac 12 foes will also be present, from the University of Arizona’s Wilma to USC’s Tommy Trojan.

Also represented will be: UCLA, Clemson, Florida State, Iowa, Iowa State, University of Nevada, Reno, New Mexico, North Carolina, Northwestern, Texas, Utah State, Virginia Commonwealth, Western Illinois, Western Kentucky, Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.



A party with the mascots will take place in Gondola Square from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 Friday. Competitions will take place from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
