Sober active community, The Phoenix, adds class
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The new sober active community, The Phoenix, started by CrossFit Steamboat in January will be adding a second class to its program every week.
Starting May 1, the program will introduce a 6:30 p.m. class on Wednesday nights in addition to its 10:30 a.m. Saturday classes. The new class will be taught by David Imhof, who is currently five years sober.
Imhof received his CrossFit Level 1 certification through The Phoenix program and has been doing CrossFit for eight months.
To attend the class, participants must have 48 hours of sobriety. So far, the class has an average attendance of six to eight participants, making it a popular and safe setting for those who are looking to lead a sober active lifestyle.
