Tammy Stewart: Thank you Samaritans

— Thank you to the good Samaritans at the cemetery.

My daughter, Shilah, and I were heading up to the cemetery to lay a wreath on my son Ryan Stewart Allen’s grave during the three-day snowstorm on Wednesday. We brought snow shovels with us to dig through the three feet of snow it would take to get to his grave.

We barely made it up the cemetery road due to all the snow and wind. We knew we would have to spend time trying to locate the snow covered headstone of our beloved Ryan.

As we approached the area, we saw a small opening in the 4-foot berm between the road and the headstones. Unbelievably, a very kind family had snow shoveled the path from their precious baby’s marker, to our son’s marker and then to another beautiful child’s marker in our community.

It saved us hours of shoveling and was such a kind and thoughtful gift. Thank you to the parents of baby Colgan. We do not know your names but know the love and care you gave us in allowing us open access, due to your hard work, to our son and brother Ryan Allen.

God bless you and thank you.
