Letter: Parking situation in Steamboat is bad and about to get worse

The lack of downtown parking is due to our increasing population of locals and visitors, and fewer parking places available. We lost more than 20 spaces when Yampa Street was reconfigured. And now we’re losing two parking lots and maybe a third if the public lot at Eighth and Yampa is sold.

We want to support our downtown merchants and restaurants, but where will we park?
