Katherine Cain: Quote about Jesus confusing

In the Steamboat Pilot & Today article regarding the community discussion on the “Death of Religion,” Rev. Catie Greene from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church was quoted as saying that “Jesus branched off from the Jewish faith.” Huh?

I’ll go right to the Source — Jesus Christ — and one of His disciples, Matthew, in Chapter 5, Verse 17 of the Bible: “Do not imagine that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets.  I have come not to abolish, but to complete them. I tell you solemnly, till heaven and earth disappear, not one dot, not one little stroke, shall disappear from the Law until its purpose is achieved.”  And all say, “Amen.”
