YVSC seeks help monitoring zero waste stations at upcoming events
Yampa Valley Sustainability Council’s Zero Waste Program is looking for folks to monitor zero waste stations at the last Free Summer Concert from 5-10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4.
Participants will receive $20 per hour to enjoy the free concert, help attendees dispose of their waste properly and make Steamboat more sustainable.
Additionally, the Run Rabbit Run on Sept. 17 also needs zero waste staff to monitor stations at the finish line at Torian Plum in Ski Time Square. Volunteers will also receive $20 per hour pay rate for handling four-hour shifts from 2-6 p.m. or 6-10 p.m.
YVSC also needs volunteers for the last month of the farmers market. Every Saturday, people can sign up for a 2.5 hour shift to assist with advancing zero waste. For more, contact Dakota Dolan at 970-871-9299 ext. 114 or dakota@yvsc.org, or go to YVSC.org/Advancing-Zero-Waste.
