Yampa Valley Regional Airport installs new electric vehicle charging stations

The Yampa Valley Regional Airport has installed new electric vehicle charging stations in the long-term and employee parking lots to promote sustainability and support the growing number of electric vehicle drivers.

The chargers include three dual port level-2 chargers in the long-term parking lot and two dual-port level-2 chargers in the employee parking lot.

Each station is strategically located to maximize accessibility, ensuring drivers have an affordable charging option at the airport.

Costs include a 99-cent guest fee per charging session, as well as 15 cents per kWh for electrical power used for charging.

The installation of the chargers was made possible through partnerships with Charge Ahead Colorado and the Yampa Valley Regional Airport’s broader sustainability goals and efforts to enhance clean transportation options.
