U.S. News and World Report recognized UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center as one of the best hospitals for maternity care for the fourth year in a row.

The hospital earned the highest possible designation of “High Performing,” and is one of 11 hospitals in Colorado recognized with this designation.

The recognition was earned through an evaluation that examines data relating to quality of care.

“This incredible recognition highlights the focus that an entire team of health care providers at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center has on maternal care in Northwest Colorado,” said Edie Seffrood, nurse manager of the birth center and special care nursery at YVMC in a statement.

“So many individuals walk alongside and support women and their families during pregnancy and delivery. Working in this field is truly a labor of love, and we are honored to deliver such care to our patients.”
